Dinner this past Thursday (October 28th 2015) was held at the quaint little restaurant called Shaan Indian Cuisine in the wonderful city of Hyde Park. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by their warm staff than very welcoming owner wife. Our table was waiting for us which was nicely displaying several plates of complimentary poppadum and tasting dishes. To the enjoyment by many, Member Eslinger brought his homemade jams and beer which he had made and shared. Who knew he had talent outside of ..., you may fill in the blank. All while we enjoying our company many things were being shared about their initial thoughts of Shaan Indian Cuisine: very active, one of our first restaurants where we didn't feel we were the only ones there. The employees were very friendly, with one female waitress being called back to the table often. 🙂
While ordering dinner they explained their heating scale was 1-6 and heat was being added via their special spice powder. As it was learned after have gone through the meal their heat score stopped at about 4 which 5 & 6 being much the same. As far as flavors: most everyone seemed to enjoy the flavors in their meals. I must note that the new member Duane Kauffman challenged Member Tozier by order his at a 6 which he graciously accepted. On the other hand Member Amos orders a 2 and was asking for heat, if that tells you anything about where the heat levels were.

o Reason to keep: to damn easy to make fun of.
o Reason to revoke membership: Absences well beyond the limit and multiple passes.
o Vote: unanimously vote to reject membership
· November meeting date moved to 19th due to Thanksgiving Holiday
· December meeting date decision was pushed to November Meeting
· New Member Vote: Duane Kauffman (PASSED)
· Next President: Aaron Hoy (Sneak peak: He can't handle the pressure and resigns...)
